Its the holidays and I love to bake some goodies to share with family and friends. This year I wanted to make fudge. A true few minute wonder indeed. Personally, I love them with nuts and dry fruits because it adds a lot of texture. But, the fudge can also be kept nut free. Takes less than 5 minutes to make them and they set very fast, in spite of many recipes suggesting that it takes a while to set. For all those who love chocolates and love to share some with your friends, give this one a try.
Gadgets:
Pan
Spatula
Prepared square Pan (8x8)
Aluminum Foil
Knife
Measuring Cups
Ingredients:
Sweetened Condensed Milk - 1 can
Dark Chocolate bar - 400 grms ( I like dark chocolate, if you prefer semi sweet go for it)
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Roasted Nuts - (Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, cashew etc ) - a fist full chopped ( optional)
Powdered Sugar - 3 tbsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Preparation:
1. Set a pan on low heat, add the condensed milk, butter, chopped chocolate and blend well.
2. Mix well until they thicken and leave the sides. Add vanilla essence and give it a good mix. Toss in the nuts at this stage.
3. Sift the powdered sugar and mix well. Set them in the prepared tray until they harden a little.
4. Cut them into cubes and pack them away in boxes or bags and give them to family and friends.
